When called this endpoint will use the given arguments to construct an OOTS Evidence Request, and automatically submit it to eDelivery. Once the Evidence Request has been submitted to the National Access Point for processing, the API returns a 202 Accepted result with a Transaction Receipt containing both the message ID of the eDelivery message and the callback URL to which the Evidence Response to that specific request will be sent. This URL would have been based off of the pre-configured callback URL that is set up during the onboarding process for each procedure.

To consume the endpoint, the Service Provider must provide an EvidenceRequestDto within the Request Body and encode it as Base64. The Service Provider must also ensure that Evidence Requests can only be performed one Evidence Provider - and thus one Evidence Type -at a time. This means that, if an SP is to request evidence from n Evidence Providers, then n Evidence Requests have to be sent, one to each EP.

In essence, the EvidenceRequestDto shall contain all the necessary information, obtained from calls to the EC Common Services, and the eIDAS Minimum Dataset, needed to populate the Evidence Request. In the same order as detailed in the Evidence Request Flow, the properties of EvidenceRequestDto are:

  1. EvidenceProvider - an Agent type which contains all the details of the Evidence Provider, which will receive the Evidence Request.

  2. DataServiceEvidenceType - a compound property containing both the Evidence Type and the Data Service. It is imperative that:

    1. The DataServiceEvidenceType returned by the GetDataServices endpoint be used, and not the one returned by GetEvidenceTypes.
